An 8-race program featuring a pair of Trials for the PCQHRA Breeders Derby is on tap for Saturday night. The pick-6 was not hit once again and there is a carryover of over $9,400. Derby winners Forget It and Bac In Front will be tough to beat in both of the trials which will go as the last two races of the night.
Tonight's Picks:
Race 1: 4-3-6
#4 Big G Secret Crab looks to be the speed of the field. Needs a clean break.
Race 2: 2-5-1
#2 Favorite Reach has been competing in trials and stakes, she takes a drop in class into a claimer for the first time and looks to be in a good spot.
Race 3: 8-4-5
#8 El Compa Jv had a tough trip in his last stakes appearance. He moves to the outside post and a repeat effort of his race two starts ago should have him in the mix.
Race 4: 3-6-4
#3 Ocean Won Away has not finished out of the exacta in his last six starts. He's in sharp forms and has been breaking fast out of the gate lately.
Race 5: 5-1-2
#5 Tempestuous ran too good to lose last time out when missing by a neck at a higher level. Looks to be putting everything together and the drop in class should help.
Race 6: 5-2-3
#5 Dynamites Ls is an Idaho invader that already is a futurity finalist. She will be making her first local start for a trainer that does well this move.
Race 7: 8-2-3
#8 Forget It loves to win races. Qualified for Ed Burke Million and Los Al Two Million Futurities last year. He won the El Primero Del Ano Derby and has a good outstide post.
Race 8: 6-3-1
#6 Bac in Front has finished first or second in 11 of her 12 lifetime starts. She has won 4 of 6 starts at this distance.
