Trials to $1,118,000 Golden State Million Futurity

It is a big night of eleven trials where 88 horses will sprint 400 yards in search of being one of the ten fastest qualifiers to race on the November 4 final. There some great bloodlines in many of the horses that are lining up tonight. The spotlight will be shining on the nation's top 2-year-old, winner of The GI Ed Burke Million & The GI All American Futurity, One Dashing Eagle. He will make his run in the 7th trial of the night. This should be a great night of racing so let's get to the selections and plays.

Race 1:  7-6-1
#7 Beg Stel Or Borrow - ran too good to lose in G2 Governors Cup when beaten a nose. Has good early speed and will try to hold them off late.
#6 No Wine too Fine - Invades from Remington Park off of two wins. Showed tremendous late kick two starts ago against a strong head wind to get up and win. Is asking for this 400 yard distance.
#1 Fast Moving Fire - I liked him last time at a price but got eliminated at the start. He gets the inside post and should be able to avoid trouble. Looking for a big effort here.

Race 2:  8-3-1
#8 Amore La Blue - all she did was put up the fastest 2yo time of year in her last maiden win of 15.29 seconds for 300 yards. Her dam was a champion, and now she is showing her talent. Watch out.
#3 Bullet in the Gun - second in good stakes last out. His stride suggests he will like this longer distance today and has some maintenance works since last seen.
#1 Chicks Gone - has shown a great improvement in his last three starts and comes off a maiden win in a trial. He was moving well late, will like the disatance.

Race 3:  1-3-5
#1 Watch Linda Ballet - her debut in May was outstanding and then came back to win a trial after a troubled trip. She ran a decent 4th in the GI Ed Burke Million and can still improve more. Watch her.
#3 Freakin Hot - his win last out is better than shown (gave me huge superfecta) when he rallied big for the win. If he breaks with the field we could see a huge performance at this distance.
#5 Tres Coronas Mas - If there is every a horse that looks like will love this distance is this guy. Encountered  trouble last out and closed with good energy to get second. Must use.

Race 4:  8-5-7
#8 Fires Blazin - would be undefeated if he had not run into One Dashing Eagle in his last two starts. He was a debut winner and has two good works since last seen and drew a good post.
#5 Viva La Blue - improving filly won in good time last out despite a slow start. She is by a champion sire and champion dam. Outstanding breeding and can only get better. Watch out.
#7 High School Secrets - gelding had two bad trips in his stakes competition has been freshened since July. His 17.90 workout shows he's feeling good and ready to go.

Race 5:  8-6-5
#8 Za Za La Blue - ran a good second in debut when beaten by #6. Her second start was a decent effort in a trial and now shows a blazing 17.5 workout.
#6 Starlite Delight - her first two stars were outstanding. She was fractious in the GI Ed Burke Million and did not run a good race. She is set to fire a big one tonight.
#5 Henoshersecret - never rallied after a tough break in last outing and is now looking to bounce back. Colt shows some maintenance drills for Jones and showed talent before.

Race 6:  4-5-1
#4 Als Big Hit - he is two for two in his career has a nice stride that suggests he will love this longer distance. His debut was solid and I am expecting a big effort once again.
#5 Cocoa Creme - arrives from Ruidoso Downs with a good resume. He was debut winner and has shown a liking for these longer distances. I like the workout of 17.8 that he posted locally.
#1 Scatmandu - he was one of the most impressive 2yo's on the ground here early in May. He qualified to the GI Rainbow Futurity at Ruidoso and now is back to where he ran two big wins.

Race 7:  2-5-8
#2 One Dashing Eagle - top 2yo in the nation. A winner of the GI Ed Burke Million & GI All American Futurity. $1.6 Million dollars in earnings. Still learning how to run. Enough Said.
#5 Cartel Karma - Very good debut win for this filly but then reared up at the start of her last race to ignore. Has plenty of upside potential.
#8 Fit For Glory - shows a good 18.1 workout locally and arrives in good form from Ruidoso. The outside post gives him a good shot at stealing the race with his gate speed.

Race 8:  1-2-3
#1 Kat Quick - he defeated One Dashing Eagle in his debut two starts ago. Had a troubled trip in his last start and now arrives fresh and ready to go with a blazing 17.5 workout.
#2 One Famous Racy Lady - she was bet down to favoritism in her debut and delivered a winning effort in a good time. Her sire was a good runner and liked these longer distances.
#3 Bon Accord - he was a very good looking debut winner back in May. Has not been seen since that effort but it seems that Aleman has him ready by looking at his recent 12.1 workout.

Race 9:  5-7-8
#5 Corona For Miros - has improved more since joining the barn of Francisco Ramirez. I liked the way he was moving in his last win.
#7 Scoop Of Sunshine - His win last out is even more impressive due that he had to overcome some trouble to get the job done. Cesar De Alba is riding great since he came back.
#8 Tell of The Past - he already has a small stakes win under his belt and has good gate speed. The distance might be too far for him but he will try take them all the way.

Race 10:  7-6-8
#7 Flat Out Swingin - has been on a steady improvement against allowance competition. The distance should be no problem if he decides to run straight.
#6 Entrap - Trey Wood brings this runner from Ruidoso he last ran in some tough trials. His debut win was a good one and has the best last race number of the field.
#8 Jewel First Cat Sa - had seemed to had lost her focus but rebounded with a trial win last out after a small layoff. She gets the outside post once again and should be a contender to win it.

Race 11:  6-5-7
#6 Secretly Hot - she is already a G2 winner in her short career. She was favored last out in a trial but lugged out at the break and completely eliminated her chances. Expecting better effort.
#5 Gold Flames on Fire - was last seen in June when he ran third in the Ed Burke Juvenile. Has shown a tendency to lug in at the break but has a good late kick and should like this distance.
#7 Freakiest - I liked him last out but did not settle and lugged out. He has a chance of outrun his odds if he can get a good break.

My Plays:

Race 1--$1 Early Pick Four ($18):  1,6,7 / 8 / 1,3,5 / 5,8

Race 5--$5 Pick Three ($15):  8 / 1,4,5 / 2

Race 8--$1 Late Pick Four ($24):  1,2,3,4 / 5,7,8 / 6,7 / 6

Good Luck with your plays!

I watch horses run around.
