Babies set to Shine and $19,044 Pick Six Carryover

Hola Amigos,

We start the week of racing here at Los Alamitos with a good nine race card which features 2-year olds making their debuts in races 5 and 7. Tonight's card also features a nice pick six carryover of $19,044 in the last six races which is expected to reach close to $50,000 in the pool. Remember that here at Los Alamitos all you need is a couple mid-priced horses and you are off to a great payout. Expecting some good weather and some good pools in the early and late pick fours so let's have some fun and get some winners. Let's get to it.

Race 1: I could not get away from the morning line favorite which is #7 I Told You Twice who comes off a good win against a similar field. This gelding has enough speed to stay close to the lead and his outside post should give him a good trip. Single.

Race 2: This second race is another race for the thoroughbreds going four and a half furlongs with a good competitive field of seven going to post. I will be going three deep with top pick being #1 Agility who comes back to Los Alamitos after running at Golden Gate. This runner had been facing tougher competition when last seen here and i expect some good speed from the rail. Also using #2 Highly Unusual who is coming first off the claim from Jim Hanson and has good speed and gets hot-riding Dionicio Navarro. Closing out my play will be #4 Sea Viper who goes for a new trainer and drops to the lowest competition.

Race 3: The key in this third race will be using the horses that will enjoy this longer distance of 400 yards. I will use #4 Calvary Scout (second off a layoff), #6 Scare Down (first off the claim, consistent, huge late kick), and Top pick #7 Runaway Corky ( first off claim, outside post, with a good break he could romp).

Race 4: This leg ends the early pick four and it also starts the pick six. I will single #2 Seattleinspiration who has been a real consistent filly in her last six starts with two wins and four seconds. I believe she has the speed and consistency to control this field.

Race 5: 2-year old fillies make their debut and the first three morning line choices seem to be the three runners that will win the race. I will take a stand and single # 1 Madam Prez who has broken fast and straight in both of her drills and i like the stride she showed late in her workouts. Well bred and well meant.

Race 6: This is a solid six horse field which starts the late pick four and i will go three deep with top pick  #2 Armyguy  who ran a huge effort running second last out after an over a year on the sidelines. Also throwing in #3 Paradigm Hawk who comes off a good third at the same level and #6 A Hot Check who was a very troubled third when favored last out when seen on February 19th at this same level and his outside post today can't hurt either.

Race 7: It is very hard to two seperate the top two morning line favorites in this race and i will take a stand and single #7 To Catch This Wagon. This gelding comes from a very good barn (Juan Aleman) and also a good sire (Pyc Paint Your Wagon) who's runners have been firing on their debuts.

Race 8: In my opinion this is the most wide open race of the night and i will use four of the six runners. #3 Whittier Girl (fast win), #4 Ronsepi ( two srtong back to back wins), #5 Hawkin Straw (just broke maiden after good debut, could improve again), and top pick #6 Shes Worth a Kiss (New barn, new rider, good workout).

Race 9: To Close out the night I will use two runners #3 Bd Cruiser (BIG dropper in class, huge effort last out after some trouble), and also using the first time starter to the outside #7 Royer First (two good workouts, could surprise).

$9 Early Pick Four Races One thru Four: 7/1,2,4/4,6,7/2

$48 Pick Six Race Four Thru Six: 2/1/2,3,6/7/3,4,5,6/3,7

$24 Late Pick Four Race Six Thru Nine: 2,3,6/7/3,4,5,6/3,7

Good Luck!
