Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity

The view from the Vessels Club at Los Alamitos
Last night we saw a spectacular performance by Last To Fire when winning the GI $750,000 Champion of Champions in dominating fashion over a spectacular field of older quarter horses. That performance might have locked in the award for 2013 World Champion Quarter Horse.

Tonight the spotlight will shift over to the ten 2-year-olds that will compete in the running of the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity. Trainer Trey Wood qualified the top three fastest qualifiers and trainer Jose De La Torre (won the Champion of Champions last night, and won the Los Al Two Million last year) qualified a total of four runners for tonight's big race. It's a competitive field from top to bottom.

The folks AQHA invited me to post my analysis for the Los Al Two Million on their tip sheet. You can find my analysis along with Jen Perkins' here: http://www.aqha.com/Racing/Content-Pages/Racing-and-Wagering/Q-Racing-Aces-and-Handicapping-Information.aspx#.UqvDbWRDssx

In addition to the Los Al Two Million, some of the runners that did not qualify for the rich final, will run in the Los Al Invitation which goes as race 4 on the card. Great way to end the early pick four.

Let's tackle tonight's card.

Selections:

Race 1:  4-2-3
Race 2:  3-5-6
Race 3:  1-2-3
Race 4:  4-8-7
Race 5:  2-1-5
Race 6:  5-6-1
Race 7:  6-1-2
Race 8:  5-6-2
Race 9:  5-10-3-2

Race 1 - $1 Pick Four: 2,4 / 3 / 1,2 / All = $40

Race 2 - $1 Pick Four: All / 6 / 2,3,5,6 / 5,10 = $48

Good Luck!
